After publication of the ironic article about Polish twins (President and chairman of the main party in rule) in one small not important German left-side newspaper, Polish president had made an offended face and cancelled his presence in a very important to Poland presidential Polish-German-French summit with Angela Merkel and Jacques Chirac.

Presidential office in its official statement claims that our president had to cancel his presence because of sickness and tiredness. It is commonly know that in that kind of cases the only reasonable and reliable excuse is very hard sickness and stay in hospital. President Lech Kaczynski was only tired and he went to his villa outside Warsaw, so he wasn’t too bad and he could go to the summit.

German newspaper in a bitter unrefined words and sharp style described the style of rule of Polish Twins, mentioning all the funny and “touchy” facts of life of The Twins – while Lech Kaczynski (President of Poland) was a president of Warsaw he forbad gay and lesbian parade, his brother (the chairman of the major Polish right-side party that rule in Poland at present) has been still living with their mom (allusion to the commonly known rumor about his sexual orientation). Newspaper called them “petty thieves” due to their acting (when they were children) in a filmed child tale “About two boys who stole the moon”.

Apart of canceling the summit, Polish chief of diplomacy – Anna Fotyga – in very sharp tongue compared left-side Tageszeitung to the German Nazi Party official newspaper – Der Sturmer (its chief editor has been sentenced to death in Nurnberg lawsuit).

Moreover, the German newspaper is very small and not important, and the unnecessary reaction of Polish government and President is a big offence to our German and French partners to cancel our presence because of not important far-left side newspaper.
Former ministers of foreign affairs submitted a letter to our President, in which they claim that his reaction was far too exaggerated.

It was not a first time when The Twins ruled Poland like a playground sandbox and it was not the first time when Polish president seemed to treat Poland as his private dominium and it is clear that for Polish far – right government the immunity of head of the state is much more important than a basic of the democracy – the freedom of speech and crucial relations between Poland and its partners.
Moreover it seems that small unimportant German newspaper can affect a foreign policy of Polish government that is absolutely ridiculous.

For many years I have been a passive observer of Polish political scene and economical situation which pushed our state into chaos and forced people to emigrate. While conducting my two Irish blogs (Polish and English) I have found out that there are people interested in situation in Poland even if only to know what is the reason of such massive emigration.

My new Polish blog will be mostly a review of the most discussed recent cases in Poland and about Poland.
