I have been blogging for the almost 2,5 years, starting with my two relatively popular Irish blogs (www.drakkart.com/eire2 and www.drakkart.com/eire) – the place where I presented my points of view, my remarks on Ireland, Irish culture, history and society and on Polish immigrant community on the Emerald Island. Blogging on Ireland gave me many opportunities and new directions of my personal development and path of life. Coming to Ireland as an archaeologist I became a columnist for Polish press in Ireland, Poland and kind of expert on matters of Polish community in Ireland. I have discovered – just for myself - the power of blogging. The next blogs I have established were my photoblog (www.kozerawski.com) – the one still very popular worldwide, shortlisted for Irish Blog Awards 2008 and my blog, written in Polish, about society, politics, world and technology (www.mackozer.pl)
Almost one year ago I have come back to Poland. My Irish blogs became inactive, not updated for almost 6 months now. It is hard to update them being almost cut off from the Irish affairs and life.
That is why I have decided to start the new blog about culture, society, politics and technology, both in Poland and in the world.

It is a pitty, but I won’t join all of you tonight on the Irish Blog Awards gala. I have to be in Carlow tomorrow morning, and there is no chance to get back from Dublin during the night.
I wish all of you who are nominated good luck and I would like to thank Michele Neylon who persuaded me to blog in English almost 2 years ago.

My photoblog (www.kozerawski.com) is shortlisted for Irish Blog Awards. Last year I couldn’t come to the awards gala. I was in Poland. This time I want to go to meet Irish bloggers I know only in virtual reality. The problem is the time of the gala. It is at 7.30 PM and I am afraid I will finish quite late and I won’t catch the bus back to Carlow.
If there is anybody from Carlow or who is going to Irish Blog Awards gala and will be driving through Carlow on his or her way to Dublin and back, and could give me a lift to Carlow after the party I would be very grateful. ??

Happy New Year to all readers of Ireland from a Polish perspective. I am still in Poland and I am leaving behind very hard time of my life being almost homeless (due to the almost never lasting renovation of our apartment) and ill (long lasting bronchial tubes infection). One of the most important promises for the forthcoming 2008 year is coming back to writing about Ireland and spending in Ireland at least the same time like in Poland. After I came back to Poland where I spent last 2,5 months I must admit I miss Ireland very much. Of course when I am in Ireland I miss Poland, so I will be always somewhere in between. Anyway… there is many things to describe so stay tuned!
What should I wish Ireland? I wish better economy and everlasting economical growth without loosing cultural heritage, and without turning Ireland into the land of glass, concrete and steel. I wish Ireland to stay green with fields of barley. I wish Ireland to have more prosperous Gaeltacht regions. I wish Irish people to get rid of crime, shotguns, cocaine. I also wish you and us… to open for each other. To learn more about us, and Polish emigrants learn at least something about Ireland. I wish us to be part of one community and the ghetto walls once collapse.

2nd Issue of Wings Magazine available on board of Polish cheap flights “Central Wings” has been out now. You can find my 5 pages article and photos about Ring of Kerry and Dingle. I spent couple of days on an adventure trip organised by Vagabond Ireland and I had really good time. The article is in Polish and hopefully will be read by many.
Here are some shots of that taken by my camera (sorry I have no scanner):

Today I am taking a short break - I am going to Spain for 4 days. I’ll be back on Sunday.
