I had been without a camera for last 3 weeks, I missed so many excellent occasions to take a good photos. Finally bad time has gone. Today I have bought a new camera, a digital SLR - Samsung GX 10. It is 10,2 megapixel mid-level digital SLR camera equipped with Schneider - Kreuznach lens. My first impressions: it is big, it is heavy and it takes good photos, and what is also very important it is pretty fast (focusing, recording to the memory card). It will take time to get used to the placement of some control buttons, but it is not a problem at all.

Very nice, only build-in flash is weak, and battery indicator not very sensitive.
I’ve made with it already about 2 tsd photos.

Yes you are right, Samsung GX10 it is just a clone of Pentax K10D, moreover they are built in the same factory (both body and lens). I have just 12 months of warranty, since I bought it in Poland

I’ve bought Samsung as I’ve heard about weakness of polish Pentax distribution and price difference.
Bought it 2 days before my daughter got her first Holy Comuny (? right), and you know what ? 3 days after that, this model’s price drop down 300 PLN. What a pitty.

Anyway I am going to write a review on my blog. Btw. Chris, do you know how to clean the ccd sensor? I have some fat dirty spots on it, and dust stick to them. I can remove the dust with the built-in anti-dust system, but I can not get rid of those spots. Any ideas?

Hm. There are cleaners for telescope lenses I know of, but I wouldn’t recommend home use of it on CCD sensor.
Rather go for help to an authorized service. But first you can look for and ask on www.pentax.org.pl
There are plenty of long-time Pentax users, including K10D and GX-10.
BTW Have you blow out the dust particles from inside of the camera ? And be careful during lens changes, that’s the time when dirt goes in, or on put in lenses.
