“Szpila” in troubles?

Recently on Polish community internet forums the question of publisher of Polish monthly magazine ?ÄúSzpila?ÄÌ (after Millennium Spire) has been discussed.?? The DTP setters ?Äï a party to a dispute ?Äï claim, that the publisher has drawn dud check, and the editorial stuff has been sending to them uncorrected materials. DTP setters were trying to talk with the publisher and get money they should get after the work they done, but they failed.?? As they claim: the publisher said that they would get money at the end of the year or they wouldn?Äôt get it at all.
Despite open internet letters to the Publisher he hasn?Äôt responded to those accusations so far.
The DTP setters are going (or they have done it already) to bring a suit against publisher to the Irish court.
It is a pity that such problems appear in Polish community, and especially between the organizations and Polish press that should serve whole Polish community.

Gothic landscape

Today I went for a short walk to the scenic ruins of the church that lie out of town. Visiting yet another ruin I was wondering, that turbulent times of Irish history have ?Äï in fact ?Äï at least one positive impact on Irish landscape that is a perfect background for gothic stories.

Also I have just discovered that autumn has come finally, and it appears in red leaves, cold mornings and evenings.

TV POLONIA

Last weekend I spent working with a crew of Polish National Television ?Äï satellite channel ?Äï TV POLONIA. They were recording material for program about Polish active persons that are living and working abroad. Program will be broadcasted at the end of November. TV Polonia is available through satellites and in cable networks.

Have you already learned Polish curses?

During my last stay in Dublin I have discovered how vulgar is language spoken by many (but not all) Polish people in Dublin. I could hear almost bad words while I was walking O?ÄôConnells Street. Day by day, many of my friends are becoming more confused and ashamed of their compatriots. The absurd reached the level when they pretend that they are not Polish while there is another, but vulgar Polish person. This and commonly known stereotype that every our compatriot is a potential rival, leads to much stronger diversity and disintegration of Polish community.

It seems that some Irish people have learned already Polish curses. The most known example is a letter from the employer to the Polish staff in which all Polish curses are counted and prohibited.
And you? Have you already learned Polish curses?
